Whether you're running 16:8, OMAD, a 72-hour water fast, or a monthly extended fast, the thing that ends most fasts early isn't hunger — it's the headache, cramps, and brain fog of electrolyte depletion. Apex Regen Wellness delivers physician-guided, nurse-administered fasting-support IV therapy formulated with zero sugars and zero calories from carbohydrates — nothing that spikes insulin or breaks ketosis. Mobile to your home across Somerset, Union, Essex, Bergen, and Hudson counties in New Jersey and throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Staten Island.
Two Formulations, Depending on Why You Fast
Keto Performance
for fat-loss, metabolic-health, and training-focused fasters. The full foundation — 1,000 mL fluids with electrolytes, magnesium, B-Complex with B1, B12, and vitamin C — plus L-carnitine and taurine to support the metabolic transition into fat oxidation. No sugars, no insulin-spiking ingredients, nothing that interrupts ketosis.
Strict Fast Support
Strict Fast Support — for autophagy-focused and water-fast purists. Fluids, balanced electrolytes, and magnesium only. Zero calories, zero amino acids, zero vitamins that could raise questions — the most conservative formulation possible while still solving the electrolyte problem.
No sugars, no caffeine, no stimulants. If you're tapering caffeine in the days before the fast — the single best thing you can do alongside hydration — this drip is designed to complement that, not replace it.
Not sure which fits your protocol? Tell us your goal at booking and our nursing team will walk you through it.
Why Fasting Depletes Electrolytes Faster Than You Think
When insulin drops during a fast, your kidneys begin flushing sodium — and water, potassium, and magnesium follow. That's the mechanism behind "keto flu," and it's why day two and three of an extended fast can feel like the flu even when you're drinking plenty of water. Plain water can't fix an electrolyte problem; sometimes it dilutes it further. An IV delivers a full liter of fluids with balanced sodium, potassium, and magnesium directly into your bloodstream — restoring in under an hour what would take a day of careful oral supplementation, with none of the GI upset that fasted-state salt loading can cause.
Does an IV Break a Fast? An Honest Answer
It depends on why you're fasting, and we'd rather tell you the truth than sell you a drip. If your goal is ketosis, fat loss, or metabolic health: no — our formulations contain no glucose and no caloric carbohydrates, so there's no insulin response and ketosis continues. If your goal is maximal autophagy: amino acids are a genuine gray area in the research, which is exactly why the Strict Fast Support version exists — electrolytes and fluid only. If your fast is religious, this isn't the right page: see our Yom Kippur & Tisha B'Av and Ramadan services, which are scheduled entirely outside fasting hours.
When to Schedule Around Your Protocol
-
Before an extended fast (24–72+ hours): a pre-fast drip the day before tops off hydration and electrolytes so you start from full.
-
Mid-fast: for 48–72 hour fasts, a drip on day two — when sodium flushing peaks — is the single highest-impact timing, and for many clients the difference between finishing and quitting.
-
Daily intermittent fasting (16:8, OMAD): most clients book during their eating window as routine support, or fasted with the Strict formulation.
-
Breaking a long fast: ask about our Refeed Recovery Drip — gentle rehydration and nutrients to ease the transition back to eating after an extended fast.
Who Books Fasting Support IVs
Extended-fast regulars, keto and low-carb athletes trying to train through fasts, professionals running quarterly 72-hour resets, first-time extended fasters who want supervision built in, and anyone whose fasts keep ending at hour 40 with a headache instead of at the goal. Every client goes through our intake screening under physician oversight.
Fast Responsibly
Extended fasting isn't right for everyone. If you are pregnant or nursing, have type 1 diabetes, take medications affected by fasting (including blood pressure and blood sugar medications), have a history of disordered eating, or have kidney or heart conditions, talk to your physician before fasting — and tell us during intake. We screen every client, and for fasts beyond 72 hours we strongly recommend you have your own physician's involvement. IV support makes a sensible fast more comfortable; it doesn't make an unsafe fast safe.
