Why Hydrate Before a Fast?

Most of what makes a long fast miserable — the pounding headache, fatigue, dizziness, and muscle cramps — comes down to dehydration and electrolyte loss. Drinking water the day before helps, but your body can only absorb so much orally at once; the rest passes through. IV hydration delivers a full liter of fluid and balanced electrolytes directly into your bloodstream in under an hour, so you begin the fast fully topped off rather than playing catch-up. For dry fasts with no water at all, that head start is the difference between a hard day and a manageable one. For extended metabolic fasts, proper electrolyte status is what separates a productive fast from one cut short by cramping and brain fog.

What's in a Fasting Support Drip

Every fasting drip starts from the same physician-approved foundation: 1,000 mL of IV fluids with balanced electrolytes, magnesium for headache and cramp prevention, a B-complex including B1 and B12 for energy support, and vitamin C. From there, the formulation is tuned to your fast — religious pre-fast drips stay intentionally simple, with no stimulants and no sugars; metabolic fasting drips can add amino acid support for the transition into fat-burning, with nothing that would interrupt ketosis or autophagy. Tell us what kind of fast you're preparing for, and we'll match the drip to it.

How Scheduling Works

Timing is everything with a fasting infusion. For fasts that begin at sundown, we schedule appointments from the evening before through the afternoon of the fast, completed with comfortable margin before sundown. For month-long observances with daily daytime fasting, we offer evening appointments after the day's fast has ended. For intermittent and extended metabolic fasts, we schedule around your protocol — before a multi-day fast begins, or during your eating window. We do not administer infusions during a religious fast — ever. Pre-fast windows fill quickly around major fast days, so we recommend booking at least a week ahead.

Who Books Fasting Support Hydration

Our fasting clients include people who find long fasts physically difficult, older adults who still observe the full fast, frequent headache sufferers, athletes with training schedules that collide with fast days, biohackers and intermittent fasters running extended protocols, and anyone whose past fasts have ended in exhaustion rather than reflection or results. If you are pregnant, nursing, or managing a medical condition, talk to your physician about whether fasting is right for you — and ask us about physician-reviewed options.

Our Commitment to Respectful Care

A fast is not a problem to be solved — it's an observance or a discipline we help you meet with your body prepared. We never administer infusions during a religious fast, we never position hydration as a workaround to your observance, and we encourage every client to consult their own physician about fasting safety and their clergy with any religious questions. Our role is simple: you handle the meaning of the day; we'll help you handle the hydration.
